A Pink Ladies Jacket from Modcloth.
Ladies?? Modcloth describes it as “vegan friendly” and for $59.99, you know this has got to be made with fake leather. This jacket reminds me of one of my favorite movies as a child: Grease! Wearing this jacket I would feel like a member of the exclusive clique The Pink Ladies.
While Grease 1 is a classic, in my upfront and personal opinion, I prefer Grease 2. Cooler girl, hotter guy!
“If you really want to know, what I want in a guy, well I’m looking for a dream on a mean machine, with hell in his eyes”.
And yes, that was from memory…
For old time’s sake, and for the best way to get the FEEL of this jacket, let me remind you of a classic song:
I’ve seen these kinds of jackets around–usually on extremely chic, model thin, stiletto wearing fashion industry people in New York. Do you know what I mean?
I think they call this an imitation suede biker jacket. I think it is an awesome look.
The first jacket ($64.99) is from spottedmoth.com, a really cool small online company started by a mom and a daughter that sells clothes as well as non leather shoes and bags. Every shoe on their site right now is non leather. I guess I will add it to my Vegan Shoe Shopping Guide at the top of the site! They sell a great pair of desert boots on this site, if you are in the market. I wrote about it previously on this blog.
Well, a blog format is not always the greatest for finding what you need. Unless you have unlimited time, you will probably never scroll through a blog’s entire archives and see all the great things that may have come before that you may have missed. I feel proud that I’ve found lot of shoes which I’ve always wanted to own in all non leather materials. I know some one out there in the internet could use this information too. That’s why I started this blog.
In this post, I am compiling a list of all the basic types of shoes that I have featured before so that if the gods of google are kind, someone searching for a “vegan desert boot” might find this site, and have their prayers answered.
So without further ado, a list of some basic types of shoes featured on this site previously:
Vegan Desert Boots ( Here’s a different desert boot like option)
Vegan Ballet flats and regular flats
Vegan Over the Knee Boots
Vegan Rain Boots and rain booties

I hope you found this helpful, and if you do, I would love to hear from you in the comment section. If there is a shoe you are looking for with man made materials but can’t find it please let me know and I will try to track it down for you.
While I am browsing the new arrivals at AE, I thought I would share with you all this coat with a faux fur hood. It looks great and pretty warm. What’s wonderful is that you can almost be positive that any coat you buy now with a fur trim is actually faux fur. This is great progress I think.
Here are the stats:
AE MILITARY PUFFER
Navy, Olive and Black
faux fur lined hood
And here is something for the brave:
AE Faux Fur Leopard Coat
faux fur in “cheetah”
Buy here (it’s a good bet this will probably go on sale)
I love this. The other day I tried on something leopard print in the store just for fun, and I really had this strange feeling of feeling like myself. i think it was because when I was a small child, full of confidence and exuberance, I loved to wear leopard print. I felt like I saw myself as that person when I looked in the mirror. A very strange and cool feeling. I bought the leopard print item!
